Cardboard Day With Mr. Tags and Andrew Rauch
Bring the experience of our most popular Funday Friday activity to a weekend day of your choosing! Over 90% of items shipped in the US are packaged in cardboard. That translates to about 400 billion square feet of cardboard floating around out there. On cardboard day, we collect a portion of this discarded building material and pile it high in the gym. We split up into two teams and use the cardboard to build massive forts. Once the forts are built, we add about 30 dodgeballs and engage in an epic battle of running, jumping, yelling, throwing, dodging and fun! If you thought this was fun during Funday Friday at ESCP, just wait until you and 14 of your friends spend an entire Saturday afternoon engaging in cardboard day battles. Mr Tags and Andrew will provide a few snacks and sports drinks to re-fuel halfway through game.

Robot Ball with Victoria Lovejoy
Love technology? Love sports? Competitive? Enjoy a fun day afterschool programming a DASH robot AND competing against another team in a game of Robot Ball! The goal of the game is to get your robot to manipulate a ball from a starting point to a goal. Each successful goal is worthy of a point. You will be competing against another team armed with the same robot. Bonus points can be earned for original behaviors performed during the course of play (for example, how do you code your robot to sing a victory song when a goal is made?).
This event will take place in an afterschool period from 3:15 to 5:30 and is suitable for an overall group of 4-6 students. Students will be placed in two teams and each team will work in the first hour to learn how to program the robot. Game play will commence in the 2nd hour with time for “fixes” and “alterations” as the game proceeds.
Snacks and beverages will be provided. Sponsored by Epiphany Technology Integrationist, Victoria Lovejoy.
