Fifth Grade Art Masterpiece

Collage is just the right format for our Fifth Graders – the juxtaposition of vintage images evokes memory, nostalgia, and the passage of time -- but also makes something entirely new, unique, and personal. The aesthetic principles Fifth Graders used -- fragmentation, reassembly, and the creation of multiple meanings -- illustrates their maturity as they prepare for their last months as Epiphany School students.

Third Grade Art Masterpiece

Multifaceted, as it is titled, celebrates the diverse and dynamic personalities of the class of 2021. It was inspired by the Double-headed serpent, an Aztec artifact housed a the British Museum, and builds on the students' studies of the culture and art of that time period. Using handmade alcohol ink-based tiles that replicate the traditional materials of turquoise, jade and shell, students worked in two sets of pairs from across the classes to mosaic each segment of the contemporary interpretation of the serpent's back.
