WHAT IS GATHER?

GATHER is Epiphany School’s biennial spring fundraising and community-building event to raise money for our financial aid program. The success of this event allows us to build on the promise of making an Epiphany School education available to all those who are admitted. 

 

WHY DO WE HOLD GATHER?

Funds raised at GATHER support a significant portion of our school’s financial aid expenses. We are committed to supporting families for whom tuition would otherwise be a barrier to attendance. The average tuition grant awarded in 2021-2022 was $22,802. Students receiving tuition aid also receive a discount on Extended Day, Learning Skills, and our lunch program.

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Donate an item or host a buy-inWhile GATHER is not a traditional auction fundraiser, we are looking for in-kind donations in the form of:

  • Bottles of wine, valued $25+
  • Restaurant gift cards, valued $25+
  • Items that could support a Buy-In Experience

DO I HAVE TO DONATE AN ITEM?

No! If you have something you’d like to donate, we’d love it, but there is no requirement. We also accept cash donations to underwrite portions of some of our buy-ins.

 

HOW DO WE RAISE MONEY?

We have several avenues of fundraising at GATHER and during the weeks leading up to the event.

 

Epiphany Experience Buy-Ins / Purchase single tickets to be a part of a larger group experience. In previous years we have had opportunities for families (outdoor movie night), parents (an evening at the Sorrento and a Sun Valley get away, golf at Bandon Dunes and a night at the University Club), and couples (Oktoberfest dinner and a San Juan getaway), to name a few. Buy-Ins are available for purchase prior to the event and often fill up fast.

 

Raise the Paddle / An opportunity to raise your paddle the night of the event, or commit a donation amount before the event, and contribute to our very important financial aid program. Pledges can be made by emailing gather@epiphanyschool.org

 

Games / We will have several games that you can purchase tickets to play the night of the event, such as a wine ring toss and a diamond grab.

 

Raffle Tickets / We have some exciting raffle drawings for a chance to win one of three fun GATHER experiences for the parents in your entire grade level. Find more information HERE.

 

WHAT IS THE EVENT FORMAT?

GATHER 2022 will be a hybrid event with current parents, staff, and trustees invited to celebrate in-person on campus, while our extended community (alumni, grandparents, and friends) and anyone who would prefer to celebrate virtually, can attend a live presentation online and raise their paddles from home.

 

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

Dress for a night out in whatever makes you most comfortable! The in-person portion of this event will be outdoors on Epiphany School campus, under large party tents. While we will have heaters, we encourage guests to dress for the weather.

 

HOW CAN I STAY INFORMED?

Opportunities to purchase tickets and buy-ins will be announced as we approach the event.
