GATHER is the school's biennial spring fundraising and community-building event to raise money for our financial aid program. It is produced by parents, and well-attended by our entire community; current families, faculty and staff, alumni, and 'friends' of the school. This is the largest, and most memorable event in our calendar, enjoyed by all who come together as a school community and enjoy one another's company – all over delicious drinks and scrumptious eats, of course!
Funds raised at GATHER support a significant portion of our school's financial aid expenses. We are committed to supporting families for whom tuition would otherwise be a barrier to attendance. Students receiving tuition aid also receive a discount on Extended Day, Learning Skills, our lunch program, and one after-school club per semester.
If you're the person who asks, "What are we wearing to this?"—you're not alone. Here's the vibe.
GATHER is cocktail attire, with room to play. The spirit of the night leans into school pride team energy, all through a cocktail-attire lens—polished, intentional, and a little nostalgic. Picture felt and wool, old sweaters, letterman jackets layered over cocktail attire, and pieces that already feel like they have a story.
If you're looking for ideas:
★ Plaid on plaid, stripes with checks, argyle, pattern mixed with confidence ★ Tweed, wool, cable knits, and textured fabrics with depth ★ Vintage details—letters, patches, and crests ★ A touch of sparkle or shine if it fits your look
There's no one right way to interpret the theme. Think of it as a mood—polished, nostalgic, and celebratory—and make it your own. This is simply here to inspire—lean all the way in, take a small cue, or just show up in your favorite cocktail look.
We have several avenues of fundraising at GATHER and during the weeks running up to the event.
Epiphany Experience Buy-Ins / Purchase single tickets to be a part of a larger group experience. In previous years we have had opportunities for families (outdoor movie night), parents (an evening at the Sorrento and a Sun Valley get away, golf at Bandon Dunes and a night at the University Club), and couples (Oktoberfest dinner and a San Juan getaway), to name a few. Buy-Ins are available for purchase prior to the event and often fill up fast. You can also donate or underwrite a buy-in experience! If you have an idea for a buy-in you would like to sponsor please reach out to gather@epiphanyschool.org.
Raise the Paddle / An opportunity to raise your paddle the night of the event, or commit a donation amount before the event, and contribute to our very important financial aid program. Pledges can be made by emailing development@epiphanyschool.org.
Here is a helpful guide to our online bidding website.
Other Tips for Browsing & Purchasing:
Please email the development team at GATHER@epiphanyschool.org if you have any questions about the bidding website or ticket sales. We are here to help make this process easy and fun!
GATHER begins at 7:00 PM and ends around 10:00 PM. This is a casual event with heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. There will be no tables or assigned seats. Guests are encouraged to mix, mingle, and get in on the fun of night-of raffles. All night-of purchases will be linked through your bidder number. Dress is cocktail attire and guests often dress in the spirit of the theme of the event. There will be a short program followed by the raise-the-paddle where guests can choose to donate to support Epiphany School.
